perfect body control. makes me think about all those beers i had hehe.
damn i need to workout again.
only thing with these show martial artists , is that they often dont pack a punch. but they can like hit you for like 20 times when you can hit them like once so it doesnt matter hehe.

he is a martial artist or one of them guys that jump on buildings matrix style?

awesome stuff. zero gravity style.

This guy, pakour and a few minutes searching for animal species i don't know just make me feel ignorant and unimaginative regarding the "real" world.

I mean, this guy can virtually kick the ass of most video game characters in terms of body control.

Well my point is, despite we like to imagine new worlds and push the limits of reality, we never know how much reality itself can still be "amazing" :D

That's mindblowing! If his knees are still in good shape when he's 50, he's doubly impressive!

i dont know who the guy is,
but there seems to be a boom in thailand of stunt men.
tony jaa is pretty amazing, and has a whole squad of guys that he trains with.
ive seen footage of them doing crazy stuff like this on top of moving vehicles.

really talented people out there.

I used to pause this video and sketch the gestures all the time. Why is the music so happy?

*shrug* I ran .62 miles yesterday, bro. That guy wants to throw down, lets throw down.

It's old. Look for a video called The world's best Trickers Volume 2.

Xin Sarith Azuma (emcmonkeys.com) is 17 and is about 3/4ths as good as that guy. He can do flips, but you can tell because he's still growing that he doesn't have perfect body control.

I think this video has a few years on it's neck.
If I'm not wrong he works as an stuntman. Trying to remember the adress to his homepage...
Well if you want to get that good you either do art or acrobatics, or have damn good disciplin to do both :P

Just did a half pull-up...
C'mon timpattkins, bet that if you can ;)

Hugs!

"Body artist?" Why not just call him a gymnast?

zeeble
March 12th, 2006, 01:00 PM
He has springs in his shoes! that explains everything. Gosh in order to do that you must be in that bouncy training room all day and night...

Why Red Bull doesn't sign this guy right now is beyond me. Little cartoons flitting around have nothing on this.

lol some old skool trance music there: system F - out of the blue, i think.

I saw this vid a while back. But I still watch the whole thing through. Youve got to respect this guy's respect for his body.

Damn! That's impressive, but I fear for his knees.

Carnifex
March 12th, 2006, 04:13 PM
it's quite stunning, but is there anything he can do beside jumping?
not that it's a bad thing, but if that one had to get into a fight...i'm not quite convinced yet.

I guess the question is, can he ground himself?

As a gymnast, a person with amazing body control and balance I give him props.

There isn't anything about the video that says he can kick a good fighter's ass - other than, you may not win because you wouldn't hit the guy very easily.

I've seen many fluid, fast and flashy fighters take on a fighter that hits like a truck, is stronger than an NFL linebacker and wrestles like an olympian.

I know that IF I hit this guy with a solid shot - I'd win.

Problem is, I don't climb walls, fly and am not part X-Men so I'd get kicked 40 times and then he would climb my neck and finish me off.

IF I did hit him though - with his body frame - I'd fold him faster than the Flash doing laundry.

Still - I give much respect to anyone that can do something that I have no possible way of imagining I could ever do...at least not anymore.

Wow. That's twice more impressive. Only jumping isn't very useful in kicking somebody's ass :).

I think this guy is kinda like those french guys, le parkour or something, who run around jumping off rooftops and doing all kinds of crazy flips and shit like that. I think this guy works as a stuntman in the movie industry too.

March 14th, 2006, 01:14 AM
joe eigo, yeah.

they're pretty bouncy, these kids - wicked body control...but, like hollywood kung-fu, it's not really suitable for "ass-kicking". wanderley silva would rip this guy apart.

Looked like the guy was doing mostly gymnastics. Impressive but what good is being able to kick 10 feet in the air when thats 4 feet above your opponents head?

March 16th, 2006, 04:24 PM
yeah i saw this video 2 years ago reminds me of Tony jaa (http://www.wushu-leda.com/html/february_news.htm) who im pretty confident could possibly kick this kids ass but all this stuff is flowery and very pretty " yay mommy he just spun 3 times in the air look'! but a fight is a fight and I was taught (and through experince learned) that being direct and quick are your tools of choice! If it caim down to it im pretty sure that tommy carruthers (http://www.tommycarruthers.com/video.htm) could kick every ones ass in here, including "flip boy" and not even think about it.

How to fight when attacked by moron:

1. Pick up large (preferably) metal object--like bar stool.

2. Smash large metal object into/onto/through/around attacker's head/head area.

3. Run.

4. When police arrive, pretend to be watching TV show about buff guy dancing on ceiling and bouncing around through store window.

Most satisfying when attacker rips his shirt off and goes "HEEEEE-YAH!"

What that "body artist" did is mostly flash. Sure he could probably have some us for it in a fight, but if you get close to him, his kinda screwed i recon'

Pretty impressive, there are some guys in my Capoeira class who do stuff like this, it's neat to watch.
Good call on the "gymnast" thing though, magicgoo :)
