I have really enjoyed looking through the sketchbooks here at concept art and have found much inspiration and entertainment in them. As a viewer, I generally spend most of my time in that realm of the forums. I am stoked to post some pages of my sketches, though I don't have a scanner and clearly have no experience with taking photos of my stuff (aside from my heinous white balance job, any advice?).

My sketchbooks are generally filled with class notes (poorly written), sketches (generally off), observations (probably misinformed), and notes to self (never re-read), so pay attention and you might learn something worthless. Here is some stuff from the past.

*Update: Color Corrected*
More stuff, these are some of my anatomy studies from the past year, I didn't post them in the studies section because I felt like the quality of the photos made the sketchbook their home, maybe I will find a way to scan them for better quality and post them in the study section later, but this is all I have for now.

Welcome to CA!

Those life drawing are nice =).

Notice your artwork looks blur and value looks dead due to how you shoot those drawing.
1. use auto feature if available (easiest)
2. When you shoot = Press and hold "take picture button" for about 2/3 sec while keeping your camera as still as possible (use the stand if you have one) that should minimize the blur.
3. Shoot it in the brightest area you can locate. (outside, sunny, is best) that should take care of the value. or
a. bring the "dead value" drawing into a artististic program (like Painter or photoshop) and do a value adjustment.

I hope that helps, peace out.
