Im having this ridiculous problem. You know where coloring lineart in Photoshop is best using the mutiply method?

Well, Painter wont let me do that, no matter how much I try every layer setting.

Bear with me I just started using Painter, originally i was terrified of it cuz it was too overwhelming, but im over that.

What version of painter are you using? I am using 6, and setting a layer to multiply works just fine... Perhaps you have more specifics?

copy your image(line art) to a seperate layer
choose "Gel"(composite method) for the line art layer(make sure it is the topmost layer) color on any layer under your "gelled" lineart layer. Presto!!
