uploaded picture size.

ok i posted some pics from my scanner, and then i saved them in like 1024*768 or 800*600. but when i upload them to my sketchbook for instance they are 512*384. sometimes they load the same size that i saved them in but sometimes they come out like this?
what am i missing, hate that high tech shit. cant even see the damn pics when i load them. how can i get the normal size again? i havent done anything with the scanner and with photoshop. just seems like its changing size for some reason.

1 step from trowing the scanner out of the window. hehe.

if you're hoasting them at photobucket or imageshack they will automatically resize the image if it's to big (KB size not pixel size).. iamgeshack has a 1204kb limit, not sure about photobucket but I think it's 500kb there... if it's bigger it gets rezised.

I've had the same problem. Photobucket's file limit is 512kb, but sometimes it resizes images for apparently no reason. The best solution I could come up with is to switch file hosts.
