Felt I should contribute more to this site art-wise, since all I've been doing lately is dicking around in the lounge.

Unfortunately this is the fruit of my labor...

My crap will be far less unimpressive as I start my first semester at RSAD, promise....

Okay, to make up for my nigh-spamtastic first post, here is some work that could honestly use some crits.

Dis one is human sized

OMIGAWD HE'S SO KAWAII. I WANNA TAKE HIM HOME AND RAPE HIM OMFG. HIS WINGS ARE SO BEUTIUFL AND ELEGANT, OH WOW.

....aaaand sadly, I don't really have anything intelligent to say or any crit to give, since mechas are one of those things that I haaaven't quite sat down and tried to learn to draw yet.;;; They look pretty cool to me. :D The bottom one's legs might need to be.. positioned more like human legs... (like, with some subtle direction changes at the joints or something) if that makes any sense.;;; I mean, they look sort straight-and-stiff instead of like they're designed to comfortably support the weight of the body. (I love the arms though~) But maybe you were just going fast, since they also look less worked-on than the upper body. :)

When it comes to mechs, 9 times out of 10 go by the general rule of function over style. Your mech looks like it would hardly be able to move, let alone move well. You have so many unnessecary shapes and lines, it makes the upper body very hard to read and very hard to believe. Believability is a huge factor in mechanical designs.

I agree, more attention could be paid to the legs; they look awful skinny to suppost such a stocky upper body. They also look very rushed compared to the rest. Take your time and ensure good quality throughout the whole picture.

As for technical crits, your lines are short and jagged. You may want to work on evening out your cross-hatching and working on line width/weight to create form. Your linework is very flat.

Keep on truckin', post more stuff, etc.

Yeh, bottom half was rushed, I actually ran out of my original pen and had to finish it with a crappy marker, gar!
