Dude where did you get that sketchbook?!
and yes, those sketch's really show a protruding sence of growth, i can feel them mutating.

alti
March 3rd, 2006, 09:46 AM
i got the sketchbook from a mysterious market stall here in sydney. Its actualy a thick pressed leather sleve that sketchbooks fit into, there were all different sizes, i got a decent sized A4 one. if i ever find that stall again i want to get an A3.

With stuff like embryos and feotus ,I think there should be more slime in your drawing and in some ways they should look a bit more wierd/ugly .But the concept is great and so is your shading its, powerful and confident.
The first one and walk the dog one are my favourite. Do you have any references ,if you do ,can you show them to me.

alti

Hey Alti - nice suggestion of bone structure under the skin in that last one. Try to show more of that in the ribs and hips. And don't rush the torso - you're heads are looking so good, but you seem to lose interest when you move down the body.

I really like your drawings... the hatching and form sense is much clearer there than in your digi work so far, but I'm sure with more practice it will start to translate.

Love that "Walk the Dog" piece. :)
