Go XVI!
The first pic is nice, the only thing thats not up with the rest i think are the eyes.
That 2nd pic is creepy, you managed to get the eyes pretty convincing and that is very important.
I like the life drawings, do alot of those whenever you get the chance.

With your anatomy studies, you might want to watch the placing of the face with regart to the neck and schoulders. But the proportions seem good to me!

If you are doing a drawing like your first one, it might help if you look at it via a mirror once in a while.

I agree with Morbid, the 2nd image is super creepy. If you have Photoshop, something that helps is using the horizontal and vertical rulers to see if everything is lined up properly. You could also flip your image horizontally, that helps to see some errors in proportions. Your figure drawings are very nice but a little small

Thnx for the comments guys! and gals :)

SpazzoLemealn_99 - ty ty..yea i flipped her around..her jaw is not the only thing misplaced...=/

Morbid - yay for XVI! and ty those were from my first life drawing class. It's a great experience....staring a naked chik...

artificial_green - yea i should work on the head more often. I usually concentrate on the lower body. And i know..i should look at my drawings in the mirror more often :)

Destinatus - Creepy...is good? Yeah my figure drawings are tiny..i'll post more over the weekend, bigger ones.

Here are some stuff i did under 15 minutes while i was watching tv

Looks pretty good to me. You might want to sketch the lines with a smaller brush.

About the anatomy of the first one: the upper muscle of the arm is more attached to the chest: the breastmuscle flows over almost directly into the arm. Make sure the ribcage is one massive block, there is almost no bending until the waist. The upper legs could do with a little more mass. Good job on the neck and the angle of the head.

Second one: the chest is a bit narrow, the shoulders too. The waist looks good. You might want to watch how knees flow over into the lower legs.

Did you have a ref while you drew these?

artificial_green: i'll make sure to work on that next time. thx :)

oh, i didn't use any ref.

'lo

Pretty nice for not using refs. You should use them to make studies though, learn stuff you don't know already ;)
Try doing some more "substansial" works, keep working with them a little longer! (feel free to correct my english, I'm just guessing ;) )

Yeh. keep posting !

Your life drawings seem very accurate and you have a good understanding of light. I like how your self-portrait is coming along and I would really like to see it finished :)

btw, thanks for posting in my book :)

Self portrait looking good!
Try to see where the shadows start, the core shadow, and make this area a bit darker. Its where you have no light from the lightsource, and very little reflected light.
Life drawings looking better and better, so keep at it!

awesome post, I guess the only crit I have for you is probably work more on proportions, I like the shading alot. Also make the bodies have great shilouette's instead of them look like noticable ovals, i dunno. I don't give that much good crits :[

Nice use of the medium. You might want to look more colesely at the folds of skin at the inside of the vinger and between the thumb and the finger.

Nice picture! The only thing I can see right now is that the lower body appears to be more to the left. If you take the center line going down her face and upper torso and take it straight to the ground you will see it ends up just right of her left leg. I guess she could be leaning on something with her left arm, if thats the case I'll just shut up, hehe

good start! that face scared the hell out of. Didn't expect it. Your gestures are good for starters. Work on your form also. shadows, values and all that. Do alot of those. I can see talent.:teeth:

Well, it looks like you are doing studies, and that is a good thing. I would suggest doing some 10 sec sketches of everyday people. It looks like you have a basic idea of limb proportions, but the body in motion is a whole different animal. Get yourself a muscle chart and a picture of someone, on the net or otherwise. Then try to draw the muscle under their skin. It will help you know what is going on under there and thus help you when you draw people moving or posing. You can also run around the sketchbooks here; lots of people have sketches like that. There is a book call "Figures in Motion"; it is a good artist reference. Hard to miss, there is a frolicing nude on the cover. Anyway, keep working at it!
