I think I'm getting a little better at anatomy, unfortunatly since I've been concentrating mostly on anatomy I'm lacking in other things. I can't seem to get clothes right for one. I have such a hard time with them.
His robe is getting on my nerves. I keep getting the perspective wrong I know it. :(
I faded the clothes to show his posture kind of.

i think the problem is that his entire body seems to be tilted forward, but the cloth is hanging down his body. i dont think i am explaining well...
ok, the character is leaning forward, the cloth is on the same angle, but it should be hanging straight up and down off his body
hope that helped :/

I've been working off and on with this guy. I decided to update with what I've fixed so far. He's suppose to be evil, but he looks sad more then he does evil. :(
I'm glad you told me about his tilt Nil, I didnt realize it until someone told me. :) I hope I fixed the tilt.

all that i can say is that anatomy is very important. research and references are key, go to the library and check out books about anatomy and once you master it then work on the clothes. As for work on the clothes do research and reference them as well, there is a book called Dynamic wrinkles and drapery that vividly illustrates the flow of clothes and how they work with the body. But in order for then to work you must have a good undrestanding of anatomy. You are not far off thought, I wouldn't think that it would take you to long to master. They are simply formulas you apply, all the rest is creativity.
