Yea, I saw this baby a few days ago. Its also on the official homepage. First impressions is that they ripped the sin city look/feel (before the flaming i mean not ripped/copied 100 % just that it was my first impression), then it looks like just a b/w photo of the same ole suit. There are some pretty interesting theories and possible plotlines at imbd, if you got the patience to sift through all the shit over there. I was hoping venom was gonna show in no 3, but it seems that hes being set up for no 4. Man Im gonna be like 30 before i get to see him on the big screen... I was just thinking that there was alot more they could have done for a teaser poster.

According to Sony, this is a black suit, not a b&w picture, so the Venom rumors seem to be bearing out. Should be a very different take than the comics, though. Looks to be a pretty busy plot, with Venom, Green Goblin II, Sandman, Gwen Stacy, and a Black Cat cameo.

how about that is Venom? black suit, can't see his mouth, wouldn't that be interesting? the symbiote or whatever they choose it to be for the film mimic's peter's suit and Venom goes around terrorizing NYC. JJJ has a field day with it, Gwen Stacy gets killed by Venom. Sandman is just a fluff character, a distraction for Peter while Venom's story is developed.

Also, Bruce Campbell is rumored to have a bigger cameo in this one, supposedly he plays the SFX guy that becomes Mysterio

Of course I didnt mean that the film was gonna be shot like SIn City. just that they could have doen something a bit more imaginative with the teaser poster.
And no, Hobgoblin wasnt the son of The Green Goblin.

in ever article about spiderman ive read, they say there is only going to be 3. and also in some of the cast interviews they say they are only signed for 3 movies. so hobgoblin is it. as far as ive seen.

They did. They kept the theme of all the previous Spidey movie teaser posters (Spiderman a a centeral theme and a main color theme).

The way Spidey is sitting is a way teaser posters are made. He is balancing out the left side with his body on the right side of the pic along with the rain evening things out.

As you know there will be several other teaser posters in the future. They may have more stuff in them or just Spidey alone to emphasize his loneliness.

but seriously, I'm so jazzed about Thomas Hayden Church as Sandman. Looking forward to eventually seeing the Lizard (will there be more cameos in 3?). I don't really think Mysterio really needs to make the big screen... but I can really do without Venom. Sorry, but to me he represents all that was wrong with Marvel in the 90s. He didn't exactly kill the comic for me, but maybe gave it a good push from the hill top.
