i was wondering what the professionals use to makes logos nowadays

illustrator..
photoshop...

I'd say Illustrator is generally the standard.

Logos, because they have to be infinitely scalable, are always vector graphics. So, Illustrator.

Yea, it tends to be Illustrator. You can enlarge or reduce the logo image to whatever specifications you need without affecting the overall quality of the image you want to produce, or something or other.
