like many illustrators that do digital work, or print their own porfolios, postcards, etc. im having alot fo trouble making sure what prints out of my printer is EXACTLY or as close as possible to what i see on my screen.

now ive heard from ppl that its making sure your monitor is true color, that is how i manage the printer settings, how the file is, etc. none really were specific enough to really help.

seeing that alot of ppl here work digitally i came to you to ask if any of you have any advice or methods of callibrating your monitors to your printer?

if it helps i have ADVUEU ADV1901B Black 19" 25ms LCD Monitor and i print using a HP photosmart 7550 17 ppm 4800 x 1200 dpi InkJet Personal Color Printer,

my printer is pretty good, i play some MTG (LOL!!!) and i print my proxys and put them in a plastic slip and so far no one has ever noticed. so i know the printer's capabilities, i just really need some help on what methods or tricks you guy have to callibrating your monitor so what you print is as close as possible to what you see on the screen.
