We use it at work (office job) because there is no way in hell IT would let us put graphic softwares on our computers and we sometimes need to modify images.... it sucks but it's better than nothing at all.

I remember being in love with the paint program on my dad's computer years and years ago, back in the days of the giant floppy disks (what were they, five inches?) Why not just leave it in there with your standard accesories? Most people probably don't use it, but most people probably don't have a need for anything more advanced anyhow. They're not going to give you free Photoshop.
