Interceptor's Fun At The Zoo (HUGE DL!!!)

Went to the zoo today!
Calgary, Alberta Canada has one of the best rated zoos in North America. I have'nt been there in almost a year though, even though it's only a 30 minute train ride away.

It started out warm, but it got pretty chilly towards the end of the day.

The zoo also got a new baby hippo. But she was'nt out today.. the bitch.

There were a ton of people drawing at the zoo, too. A bunch of old ladies. it was pretty weird. I pulled out my sketchbook and started up next to one of them. It must have looked strange.

Giraffe.. ever seen one of these give birth? It's fairly disgusting.

There was a room that was made to feel like it was some research hut in the middle of the jungle! I felt to cool. Sounds of the animals, and a little bit of light coming through the wooden walls. I did'nt want to leave! I want a minimalist toom like it now.

cartoonfox - Dinosaur park is really sweet! It's the first section of the zoo after you enter. Calgary is really far from Montreal,though. It's a few provinces away, actually.

Undefeated - Not a problem. I have some mad mad inspiration to do creature design though. It used to be something I thought was a chore, but now I'm excited! I guess you always just need the right motivation. Calgary actually has alot of new nature sights, too. The aurora sandforest... coniferous trees, the top layer of earth is sand though. And we have some cool ice caverns.. and a desert area.

Romance - She's too adorable. In real life, I can't take it sometimes!
You should come to the zoo, man! Make a weekend out of it. I wanted to draw a ton of stuff, but the conditions were not right. Too many little kids running around everywhere. Maybe before the workshop?

Julien - It was a blast! I think on Friday, I may go buy a season pass. And maybe tackle one section of the zoo with a sketchbook each week.

Danomight - My special day with you.. it was real.. but also a dream. <3. lol. The wolf was really sweet though. There were about 4 of them, and a white one. But he was hiding under a tree, so I could'nt get a decent photo.

guggenmaneuver - I'm glad! I thought I was going to take a bunch of good referrence pics. But I don't think they work well for that. They are cool, though. She is cute, hey? heheheheh

magicgoo - I've never been to the LA zoo :(. Just here, Seattle, and an aquarium in Japan.

MIKECORREIRO - I want him, too!! But he actualy seemed really angry. So i don't know. But you're a tough guy.. you can handle him. I can barely go near my cat! hahaha

Jeri - It only takes about 10 minutes to do actually. And about 20 to let it sit in. It gets alot of weird reactions sometimes, though. Everyone who comes into my work asks me if I am trying to make a statement. That gets annoying.
