Here's an environment I've been working on. Its getting close to completion. What are some finishing touches I could do to it?

I think you need to establish a focal point. You have this strongly defined circular composition and right in the middle is the emptiest, least interesting area. Perhaps think of it as center stage for some drama you want to portray. Also, all the ruins and things are about the same size and weight. Try clumping parts together vor more variation.

If by 'icarus' you mean 'kid icarus'...and if this is part of your Thunderome entry, we're all in trouble.
There definitely needs to be some stronger lighting from the lava. The image overall is a bit muddy and dark. I'm assuming that you're going to be placing a figure on top of this background, though. If that's the case, then the background serves its purpose, and it's probably better off staying muted.
The rock island on the bottom of the image needs more highlights as it's hard to tell what's the top of the island and the side.

personally I like mood but I guess if there are some more
diffrent types of buildings, It will better....just my opinion
