5670x3425px, painted in psCS2, copyright ImagineFX/Future Publishing

commissioned image for the March issue of ImagineFX, I've done a full 4page tutorial for this in the issue if you're interested (inc full sized psd's of the progress on the dvd), which is on sale from the 23rd Feb in the UK, US and Europe app. 4weeks later (hound your local barnes&noble etc), but you can buy single issues without having to subscribe from the site - [http://www.imaginefx.com - which is handy. Got an article about me in that issue too :)

kept it simple, book cover format (as it was widescreen and i wasn't sure how it'd be printed i played safe and split it down the middle), needed to be for beginner/intermadiate's to follow easily

Nice works man. Second one reminds me of darkcity a bit. You totally need to add some rain splashing off the heads and coats. Your buildings could use a lil more work, they kinda look like clay right now.

Yeah! Saw the first one in a preview for the second issue in ImagineFX, looking forward for them to send it over. The only letdown for the first image is that the castle is quite flat looking, but otherwise, great images.

Cheers guys, yeah, agreed about the buildings in there, spent most of the time on the characters, simplified the rest for ease of following, had to do a full scene over 17 little steps, so i could only pack in so much without making it hard to follow as a tutorial, ordinarily i'd have packed in a bit more detail & used perspective. Should have made the water a bit more prominent on the second, it's there, but at this res it all kind of disappears, hopefully it'll show when printed, thanks again.

Nice.. I like your others on deviantart better though. These two are missing something.
