Being A Dad ~ self portrait

I am working on my own art book called "Being A Dad." It's full of drawings, paintings, photographs, and writing that my kids and I have done. It's not quit concept art but I am a concept artist and thought you might like to see a self-portrait I just finished for the book - took about an hour. Pencil, acrylic, and a touch of Photoshop Cutout.

I was at a residency in Connecticut last Oct. for a month where we (4 artists) each had our own studio, we shared a house, on 450 acres at a place called i-park

I worked on this book project there, good experience. Takes a lot of energy to create something when no one is waiting for it or paying. Now days I work on this project every Weds. which is my studio day when I am not a day for 24 hrs., Thurs. I am dad for the entire day. My wife and I are both freelance artists - she is a writer. Life is good!
