Hey guys I wanna design an Orc for a comic I wanna do with a friend so I need some reffernce pieces to get some inspiration goin

if anyone of you can help with some good pieces I d hugly appreciate it cause google´s output sucks

But like kresh said, search harder. If your simply googling the word 'orc', your proberly just being to general.

check out the gamesworkshop stuff. their orc/ork illos are pretty darn sweet. and any LOTR art books would be a good start too.

Many Orcs actually look like apes. When painting orcs, I sometimes search for ape reference. (For example at www.corbis.com)

Since orcs were elves once I would recommend drawing and elf (or looking for pictures of one) and abstracting the whole thing (look for crippled faces etc).

Personally I would look for scarred or character faces (danny trejo would be a good example for that) on the net, apply some features of apes and boars (tolkien based the orcs on creatures from irish/galish legends who basically are a cross of human and boars) and finish the whole thing with samoan (tattoos, haka) and monghol (armour, clothing, nomadic lifestyle) culture.

basically thats what orcs are: wild, brutal, ugly, twisted, strong, nearly animal, nomadic, living in tribes.
