This is Image comics' 'Blacklight'. It's technically finished, but I felt like the background was still too loose to post this in the 'finished' area, and I didn't feel like taking it any further. I'm fairly happy with the figure, though. Please crit, but gently... I'm hard enough on myself. :nohope:

I also posted this in my intro... hope that's ok.

very cool nice style.. hmm.. think ur overdoing it a little with the highlights on the chest part and the hair could use some more darkness
but overall very dynamic pose and nice drawing

If you check this- http://www.itchstudios.com/psg/art_tut.htm- out, and scroll down to a part that says Flatten and Simplify, it could help you out a bit. Nice image though!

Thanks, guys, and that link is mighty useful indeed. I agree about the highlights, too... I just can't stop playing with the 'dodge' mode in Photoshop. It's like an affliction! It's great for enhancing things that you want to focus on, but it can be really overdone (as I was suspecting I had done). I get it from looking at Dave Mckean's stuff, I think, though he has a much better grasp of it.
