hi guys, how are you all doing??!!
the other day i was watching Boomerang channel i remembered a cartoon i used to watch when i was just a little kid...
Thundarr the barbarian do any of you remember him?
well...it got me thinking if they would like to bring him back in a more modern look and they asked me to draw a concept what would i do???
so i started to draw this...
it would be cool to see some concepts by some of the other really great artist who visit this forum...what do you think...there are a lot of cool 80's cartoons, i bet some of you even already got something to show...

this is what i came up with...i'll draw princes ariel an Ookla soon..and i'll post them in the meanwhile let's see some of your own versions of your favorite old toons!!!

dunno why noone has replied yet.. it looks cool.. can say if it looks like the character or anything 'cause i don't remember thundarr at all... only remember dungeons&dragons, land of the dinosaurs and of course.. heman ;p

I like it!! Thundarr was one of my favourites too. Had a great story line for a Sat. morning cartoon.

My only real crit is his sword should be yellow. I believe it was called a "Sun Sword" in the cartoon.

That's my op, though.

Aww, you took away Thundarr's furry...I don't know what to call that article of clothing. It's like a man-vest-kini.

The rendition you did reminds me too much of Ken from Street Fighter. His outfit is very much like a ghi and it's red. The armband on the right arm is nice, though. I'd like to see some design for putting his sword in there like the old cartoon.

I'm not sure I like the techno looking sword--it looks neat, but doesn't fit in well with the rest of the concept.

I'd love to see your rendition of Ookla.
