nice. the eyes and nose are sensitively realized.

my personal suggestion is to lose the white halo.

Thanx for your suggestion Ochre. I really appreciate it.

Anyway, there seems to be +44 views and only one crit. This is an invitation for you to hammer my work. Unleash your fury and hit me to the ground...:bash:

yeah I know it's hard to get a good crit sometimes, but don't let it stop you from posting.. I think some people just wait to get a more well rounded impression of your technique, style and intention before they can start critiqueing u.. and that will only come with regular continuous posting.

I'm relatively new here too but I'll have a go..
my eye tends to gravitate towards the outside of the face where the charcoal lines are more present than in the central features of the face, and the halo although cool adds to this distraction atm. You could try fusing some of the lines and tones in these areas you dont want attention to be brought to as much like the hair line and areas where the strokes and surface texture tend to override the detail of your facial features.

You could also perhaps work a little more on the right (your right!) shoulder where it flows into the trapezius and sternomastoid, I think the solidity of the rest of the drawing breaks a little in this area. but hey I'm always learning too just my opinion. Otherwise it's a great drawing. what size was this done at btw?I want to see some more from you:)
keep it up man and give me some crits if u get a chance

thats impressive you can be so delicate with charcoal. the right ear gets a little lost above the lobe. it would probably help to add shoulders so it doesnt look like your head is floating.

Rohan: That was an awesome crit... although I have almost no clue about composition, I guess this will force me to go and learn more about it. Anyway, it is done on A3 paper using a combination of Vine and compressed Charcoals.

pibb991: Thanx for that great suggestion. I guess I need to spend more time on the finishing touches.
