My inspiration come from the picture of "The Seven Samurai", which is a famous film directed by Akira Kurosawa. And the character are famous monster in Chinese legend.http://www.chinavfx.com/bbs/attachments/200304/14094634-999.jpg

that's real nice, I like the tribute to Kurosawa, and cool character designs
it would be great to see more pieces based on his other movies too (Throne of Blood is begging for it!)

very nice piece!

ive got one question though, im just wondering since u used that picture as reference, its not the same thing 100% but is it in violation of copyright? or no? thanks for the help(just want to know for my information)

what this guy did by using the pose
of the figures for reference is not at all a violation of copyright infringement. I'm pretty sure that every artist out there uses references from one source or another when approaching their own work.

I think it's damn brilliant what this guy did with the painting. I would love to see more modern interpretation of asian historical pieces.

great job on the painting R.P.W.T, reminds me of journey to the west remixed with the wizard of OZ.:chug:
