I tried again a second later and no problem.

Also, when you click on the "Upload" link in the User CP you get some weird exception message. You might think about displaying a message explaining that there is no uploading files.

when i clicked on the link to the home page, i was logged out. so i typed my username and password in the little form to the middle-bottom left, and clicked enter. it logged me in, but then went back to the home page and i was logged out again.
i clicked the forum link, at the top, and i was logged out and had to log back in.


i can still log on when directly in the forums, it's just the home page thats weird.

There's this distracting, out-of-place banner up at the top that doesn't in any way scale for different screen resolutions.

Other than that I've had trouble Quick Replying once or twice, but I just refreshed the page and it seemed to resolve itself.

When I write a reply for a longer time period I need to log in again....the ones that I write quickly I don't need to do so... It's enervating but please tell me if it's a security issue then I know that I have to copy and paste when it take a longer time to write.

Earlier today it was really, really slow, took between three and four minutes after you clicked something before getting there. For me at least. Also, I couldn't log in for a long while. Seems it timed out or something. Works alright now though.

I can't overwrite my SB thread title, just the first post title changes.

inability to log on to any conceptart.org page becoming more frequent & lasting longer -- last two days in a row, could not access site from approx 3pm 'til around 9am (EST) the following morning. always get a DNS error or server not found error from IE.

Same problem as Masque's: cannot even access page for usually around 8 or so hours at a time (although it lasted a week once). Generally, my 'off' time is around 8am to 3pm EST daily, but it varies. Couldn't get on at all yesterday.

i'm having problems logging in to the new 3.0

it says my password is invalid, so i clicked the link to have it emailed to me. what i got was a long string of letters and numbers in place of my original password.

so i tried that, but it also said that password was invalid. i know some other people have been having similar problems, so is there an easy fix?

should i just ask an admin?

Well something similar: I try to access the user profile but...
A: It asks me to log in with password even though Im logged in already
B: I enter what I'm sure is my password and it doesnt work
C: I enter my email to get my password...says it send it to me but nothing there

but despite all this - Im already logged in - just cant access my or others' profiles

To all the log in problems (for CA3.0): Last time (one or two weeks ago) whenthat happened I couldnotlog in too. I just tried it againg some time later (one/two days). It's probably because of the server change/database whatever. Just try it again in two days or something and if still doesn't work then there could be a real problem and then only if you can't get a new password via e-mail.

Edit: this time I can't log in 3.0 too.

Here in the lounge, the "last post" isn't being updated properly. For example, the picture thread shows Kain1030 (or whatever) is the last poster in the thread, but clicking on it shows that Carnifex is the actual last poster. And yes, I refreshed the page.

the "really freaky quadraped robot" thread is also busted. Shows undefeated as the last poster, but I posted after him.

I made a post earlier using quick reply, and at first it didn't show up at all. When it did show up after I refreshed and tried submitting the post again (it said I had already submitted an identical post and refreshed the thread), my post appeared before some other posts in the thread.

EDIT: How can I quote Fukifino when he posted after me? It's like the twilight zone moved into the CA forums!

the time stamps on my posts are goofy....sometimes I post in the future and sometimes I post in the past, which means that my posts don't go to the top of the list.....which now that I read some other bugs, it seems that other are having that problem too.....I posted this at 3:18, let's see where it goes...

edit: yup, posted this and it didn't bump it, showed me posting at 2:17 even though there were posts at 2:50....hmmm

edit 2: when I post in people's sketchbooks, my post goes behind anything at the hour, its weird....

My account got locked out for ages...finally got it working again after having to reset the password a dozen times and now...it wont let me change my password to something I want...

When I enter the password given to me by the forums it says it's not the right one...even though I've just logged into the forums with it. It still will not except it as the current password so I can change my password to what I want.

Here goes :)

1. Tried logging all of yester day.
First I tried to log in till i got the "failed attempt quota met" message. Waited and tried againb ut still no dice.
Reset password 4 times in all, waited for periods of 15minutes-3 hours each before trying to log in.
Still got the "wrong password/user name and failed attempt quota maxxed, please try again in 15 minutes" message.
Finally managed to log in this morning *phew* :) hurrah!
But now I cant change my password from the server generated reset password. It keeps telling me the old password I typed in was incorrect :(

2. The webmaster@conceptart.org email keeps boucning mail back with a mailbox full reply, not sure if this is a bug or fer real.

sometimes when i answer a thread, my post shows up somewhere in the middle instead of at the end, where it should be.

also, if im seaching for posts by a user and click their name up at the top of the page (example: search found all posts by Layil) it takes me to my profile control page instead of their profile.

server bugs are going to take a few days to settle. this is the first major revamping of technology we have dealt with. three servers worth of data is a lot to check in on..we appreciate everyones patience.

i dont believe that the traffic is lost....it is split between servers and thus the traffic read is not right. we should have this fixed shortly. if you know anyone who cant access the site at all..even as a non logged in guest...plz let us know.

Is this a feature of the new servers, travelling in time? Or is it just normal space-time continuum fluxations? :o

I had problems with remaining logged in if I reply to a post too. I also had to change my password and sometimes I get a prompt saying my IP address has been banned. Hopefully things will be workin' soon. :yayca:

The old profile list used to enumerate all our my previous posts. It used to allow me to go back to a thread that I critiqued or commented on and now I have trouble re-finding those. Is that function gone, or has it just not been configured yet?

I'm just wondering what I'm doing wrong, I know that file size should not be bigger than 500kB, mine are about 178kB and less. Maybe there are some more restrictions I should know about. Mr. Vision asked already something like that, but my problem is that some images can be seen in bigger size and some can't. Thank you.

On the main page when i click on one of the pictures for the artist showcase, and the artist bio thing with the thumbnail picture links opens up, and try to click on one of the thumbnail links i get this error:


"Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/concept/public_html/showimage.php on line 22"

I hope that makes sense, sorry. It's been that way ever since I joined as a member. Also from time to time if i try to edit a post, or post a reply to something, it won't update at all, and i have to refresh the thread to see it, and once in a while when it dosen't update it ends up double, and sometimes triple posting.

if i click a Picture i just can see the MB Logo instead of the Pictures.
Also on the Page where you see all the Thumbnails, just a few Pictures show up- must be something about gdLibrary ?

i dont have any troubles reefering to login - logoff / this seems to be already fixed

I'm getting a major bug with Firefox this evening (Sunday). Seems almost all CA hosted images (i.e. avatars, thread posting buttons, etc), are non-existent and makes it impossible to post replies and start new threads.

Everything seems to work fine in IE at the moment though.

On the 3.0 homepage, the links up front to forum threads just send me to the "Thanks for logging in" page, after which I end up on the main forum index. The urls for those links point to a different location from the usual forum links (http://community.conceptart.org/forum/?action=view_topic&id=22&fid=9, for example, instead of the usual conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php).

I'm having problems with pages loading at all. i can access all the forums and things but when i try to enter a specfic thread its a crap shoot as to whether it loads and it takes forever. Took about a half hour to get this thread to load.

Nope its not a coincidence Cup of Joe, I'm having the same problem with pages loading, its really random to when they load. sometimes my pages load ok, then a few minutes later when I try to load another thread it takes forever. At first I thought it was a browser issue, but its been happening with all of my browsers also. Its kind of annoying,

Hey complete2, I was going to post about the very same thing, however,
couldn't get in to do so. :S
For some odd reason, I can click on the bold category headings, but when i want to get into a specific thread, or specific page of that thread...it takes ages to load or i get the disconnect error from my browser.
Also, couldn't bring up my 3.0 profile, nor the IM list (just a blank white pop-up page).
If all of this is known to Jason and those at MB...i will kindly shut
up and wait patiently till all's good. Thanks fellas.

I was told I can report bugs here. I got a roach problem...jk. I have a problem with my profile's text which continues to revert back to an illegible grey every time I change it. I am tired of coming back to my page and seeing that I have to adjust it so that people can read it! Can't they make it so that the default is plain black text?

Would be nice with just text marked up with plain HTML (A, IMG, B, DIV, H3 etc) and CSS layout instead, for the profiles/community thing I mean.

And people, try this piece of code to make the tiled BG show in your community profile.. It adds a little margin, and removes the banner which unfortunately is stretching the page.

There's no thumbnails for recently added images. Some of my links text won't change color either.
