Hey peeps. Been around here for a very short while some 2 yrs ago and now I finally got a Graphire 4.
First finished work with it - my sister asked me to draw this Mexican singer called Chavela Vargas. Took me about 2 hrs, used a picture for ref.

Serus omule, vad ca esti localnic......Nice work man, in the first one I like the chiaroscuro, dunno how the ref looked though, but I think you've managed to render it nicely, could add another color though (but that's just a tip). The other one can use some more detail --especially the fire--.
Otherwise both your pieces look good, keep up the good work

asa tot mai multi romani, imi place...ok so what i noriced about the first pic is that you didnt go into so much detail on the hands as you did with the face, i dont know if its intentional, but i would have liked a little more detail in other areas, beside the face. Now this warrior dude, are you going to develop him more? i mean he looks good, but you can do much more with him.

The 2nd pic looks too blurry, you might want to try and sharpen those edges a bit. Or at least on the ball thing and the mountain or rock. The first pic is in my opinion too dark? The 3rd pic I dig though ;)

tx for the comments everyone
@geophillyx (love U2, man! :P) about the first pic: owned, I was sort of in a hurry and the hands would've taken an eternity to render (wrinkles etc), plus I wanted the emphasis on the face.
The warrior was a DSG... I'll work on him again as soon as I get the chance, thing is its composition isnt exactly brilliant, so a remake is in order
@blades: yea the 2nd one is my first DSG, was kind of at loss with techniques, came about that type of rendering without really thinking it up first :)
Regarding the first one, I'd blame it on the ref. Actually, mine is lightened comparing to the ref...

well id say the thing with this one is that its hard to tell what it is exactly, ithink its a wagon but im still not sure. try using one extra color and making the top part a tad lighter
P.S. U2 FTW!!!

Hai salut! nice stuff here. I really like that warrior (concept and rendering), but i'd like to see it finished. Also, i'd like too see the others with some more details. Keep it up man! (Cum ti se pare Graphire 4?)
