I see more and more games offering online multiplayer or making the game so it is only really good for that. That being said, how many people here participate in it? Most numbers I have seen have only a small percentage of people using it but so many current games are built for that small percentage. Just wondering ...

I don't personally play console games online (or much at all), but I definately think that a lot more people are getting turned on to it. Xbox live Halo 2 has claimed the lives of many of my friends, and with the ease of using services like that, I imagine it can only grow.

I have fond memories of wanting to play Phantasy Star online on my Dreamcast, and it being such a huge hassle (plus having to pay like 30 something dollars a month for SegaNet...) that I eventually just gave up on it.

Well I personally do enjoy playing games on line, it brings alot to the table for alot of reasons... And of course there is time for online and a time for not pushing the online thing... But I think the difficulty is what Korish was touching base on, its hard to get connceted. My only online console experiance was with the dreamcast playing Phantasy Star coincedently, but there was no fee then. I just had to set up the modem with my dial up providers info. It was really quite easy. And like I said free... I know the second version of the game did cost sorry Korish.

Its expinsive to play online, getting setup with something like xbox live is not cheap... I would love to plop down on my couch and play xbox live till I blew away in the wind like my grandmother farting dust in my tea! I Just dont have the cash.

So for me, I will play my pc on-line for now, and wait to see how the next console battle unfolds. And hopefully with enough competition prices will drop and we will all be online gaming for ever.

Yeah .. It really seems not many people do it but the games are so geared for it now that it is sort of unbalanced.
