Hey all, my first post here after lurking for countless months (I think it's been a year now.)

I'm a SCAD student currently working towards a major in sequential art. Though I'm not very fond of comics it's the most drawing-intensive major and has all of the conceptual illustration courses. So yeah, a lot of this work is pretty old (like 6 months)

Going chronologically:

Early sketch work from last year that I really ended up liking:

Character sketches for a little gopher I used for a 15-second animation.

about a 3-hour sculpture drawing from last quarter (about 5 months ago). This is one of my favorite pieces.

Self-portrait, life drawing final from last quarter:

More recent (last night) self-portrait, learning how to draw on my wacom.

Recently I've started concepting for a game called Allegro, it's a student project, not school related, and has a really great storybook feel that makes for some fun concepts:

And that's relatively up to date. I have a bunch more sketchbook stuff (gestures, concepts) that I'll scan throughout the week.

Comments/critiques welcome!

P.S. I know the signature's annoying, I'm working on it :-\

Welcome to CA!
You got a nice line work. The study is really nice, maybe you could work a bit more on the head's shape :=)
The enviro in the first pic is really nice.
And the cartoony ones are funny, you caught pretty well the mood :)
Post more, i'll come back ;)

Recursive_End: Thanks for the feedback, I've been working on heads and faces for the past 6 months or so now and have been realizing that I need to go back to skulls and work on that more, it's something I've been working with bit by bit.

Zord: thanks! More to come, I'm glad you like my work.

more concept work!

I have a bunch more to scan still, but this is my recent work for Alchemy.

Hey man, cool little house ditties here. The first thing that came to mind was Dr. Seuess's "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" or whatever it's called. Are these going to be colored or are they just in-process? You could get a ton of variation in them. And keep it up man! And make it more frequent, yes. Cheers!

Zord: They're basically just quick concept sketches, though I plan on coloring a few of them just to get a relative color pallette in my head. We have other people doing final background renders and colors though, this is basically to just give them as many ideas as possible.

it's been a long time, I apologize, finals are gearing up for me, about 30-40 hours worth of drawing ahead of me this week :teeth:

I'll have a bunch to post by the end of next week.

In the meantime I'd love any feedback you want to throw my way.
