not bad

hope you don't mind some crits

try and stay away from shading with a brush size of 1.. it looks messy.. use bigger brushes with opacity set low and work the shading in

the poses aren't very dynamic.. the dead woman looks shit scared to touch him.. the dude's hands look weird holding the axe too.. the left hand (his left) is too big compared to his right hand.. also the guy's waist is way too thin

lose the black outline on everything.. unless you're going for a more cartoony look (which it looks like you were)... cartoony is more clean.. actually there's far too much black in that pic

oh.. the guy looks more dead than the woman (colouring of the skin)

there are more things i can spot but not gonna get petty (i think i already have ;p)

all i can say is buy some books on anatomy and perspective and study them hard.. if you can't afford books get the loomis project for anatomy (http://www.fineart.sk) along with other nice stuff.. and for perspective..well.. there are a few good tuts online.. dunno the links offhand

i'm sorry if i sounded harsh with my crits.. but i used to draw the same way a few years ago.. and it didn't help my learning when ppl would say "hey that's cool!"

keep visiting quality boards like this one and you'll learn shitloads

hope i helped some and certainly hope i haven't hindered.. keep on posting.. would love to see your progress

awsome crit. thanks Krayz. I shoulda left this one black n' white, the color was an impulse. and yer absolutley right, I need to make it "clean", and those poses do suck. I have such a hard time trying to do "dynamic" poses. you got me thinking, thanks again.

hey

nps.. just hope i helped you some

here's a few books i have... don't have much time to really study them every day tho.. wish i did :/

Atlas of Human Anatomy for the Artist
by Stephen Rogers, Peck
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0195030958/qid%3D1022603319/sr%3D1-10/ref%3Dsr_1_3_10/104-9649729-8837502

i love this book.. the drawings are excellent.. has helped me a lot.. well worth the money

Dynamic Figure Drawing
by Burne Hogarth
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0823015777/qid=1051358522/sr=2-2/ref=sr_2_2/104-9649729-8837502

this is another book you can't be without.. but was a bit advanced.. buy the stephen rogers peck book before this one like i did and you won't be AS confused ;]

check out all the burne hogarth books.. i have this one and the dynamic drapery one (which i haven't even had a chance to read yet)

The New Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain
by Betty Edwards
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0874774241/qid=1051358422/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_1/104-9649729-8837502?v=glance&s=books&n=507846

a book which has helped me to 'see'.. the exercises actually work... again.. i just don't have time to do them everyday :/

as for perspective...i have a couple of books.. seem kinda boring.. not sure if it's a subject that can be made interesting... so i'd probably just check online tutorials.. i recall there being some perspective tuts on http://www.drawthrough.com somewhere

anyways.. the first book should be a definite for you to get if you can afford it

hope i helped.. happy learning :]
