Hey ppl,

This is a newb question, it must have been said before though,
what choice of books would you choose for figure drawing?

My poses are way off, i would like to improve on them, however i like to know more about centre of mass.

I would like to pick up the basics before i move on, i currently do 3d modelling on the computer, but my drawings are way off, and i think its time to work on my sketching skills, because its the best thing to do on your own. Creating.

Anthony Ryder's "The Artist's Complete Guide to Figure Drawing".

Learn how to draw with that one.

Thanx for your suggestion, i will have a look at that,
I have the artist's complete guide to facial expressionsby Gary Faigin, which i must say is a great book that many ppl should buy if they want to explore different facial expressions, in fact its the only one that is the best out.

Whereabouts on this forum, is the best place to look at art book reviews? if there isn't one, there should be one.

thanx very much,

and nice sketches, i hope to work my way to that standard. keep practicing.

good lord, didn't someone else just post the same question like 4 threads down? At least look at the first page of threads before you post, and why didn't anyone else notice yet?
