Really enjoyed "Equilibrium" so I'll be going to see this.

Hmmm, just watched it, cant say that it doesnt look kinda cool, BUT.... it really grinds my gears when almost every scene in the trailer is ripped of from either the MAtrix or Kill bill. ANd whats up with "Are you mental"
What is this, the mid 90´s? Are wayne and Garth writing scripts now?

I won't admit that. It's sort of how my sixth sense kicked in and told me Tomb Raider (1 and 2), Resident Evil Apocalypse, AVP, Blade 3, Alone in the Dark and Aeon Flux were all going to suck ass. No original components. Special Effects gags right out of the Matrix. Dialog that's just plain insulting to the collective intelligence of the audience. Shitty techno-music. And of course over-choreographed fight scenes that would make the WWF proud... Seriously. Whatever happened to the days of the brawl? Now bad guys just stand there waiting to be kicked.

Yeah, I'm a little afraid of this too. I'm a big fan of Milla Jovovich, but it looks like her agent said, "We liked you in Resident Evil, and we like Blade. Let's combine the two and you can wear a shitty vampire wig and PVC and do fight scenes with no logical physics involved!"
I think I'll wait 'til they play it on TV.

wow... just when I think that hollywood has finally produced the most commercial, unoriginal, and completely uninspired turd of a movie.... its stomach growls, it runs to the bathroom, and in a glorious heave of butt-pee, produces something like this.
this is probably the most "Ill suck your dick for a dollar" movie trailer i have ever seen. At least bad movies of yesteryear could wait a while before blatantly ripping off whatever used to be succesful.
And for the love of god, to whoever is listening:
STOP RIPPING OFF THE FUCKING MATRIX!!!!
We get it, slow motion bullets and kung-fu looks "cool", so does black leather, so do vampires, so do battles of one vs one hundred, so do models kicking ass, so do corporate entryway gunfights.............the first time......
Directors, do they cut off your artistic balls when you enter the hollywood system or what?
This is why foreign films are considered sophisticated.... because they at least try......

I agree Equilibrium was pretty good. I just can't understand why my friends hate it so... But, I do agree with most of the thoughts on this movie. It's nothing original, it's just a "gimmick movie". Although, I'm not one to really go by what all the critics say so I will go see it, just with low expectations. I'm sure it will be a good pop corn flick, I'm a sucker for action movies.

No but what they do is pigeon-hole the project to a specific demographic, which begins in the writing, so the director with this roll of toilet paper they call a screenplay has little choice of what to produce if they would like to keep their job...and possibly have another.
This film is designed for DVD sales, end of story. I just wish they would save us the trouble, save some of their money and our sanity by trying to push this film as something that is Matrix calibre. The quick cut trailer with rapid fade to black sequences just isn't going to do it anymore guys!!! Clue in!! Anyone who is over twelve years old sees through the old gimmics of your one-liner marketing campaigns!! I'm just sorry it is taking this many monkeys with this many MBA's with this many millions to slowly figure it out.
Box office weekend sales might help that \w/

ugh.... so I saw this movie. And let me preface this by saying in way I was tricked. I didnt INTEND on seeing it, but it happened. It was free, and I got free beer and pizza too.... Ill leave it at that, BUT....
WORST FUCKING MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN EVER. PERIOD.
every cliche..... met and exceeded
every bad acting expectation...... met and exceeded
every expected ninja motorcycle black leather one in a million fight.... met and exceed, then repeated.
I can't really put into words how bad it was. It was the kind of bad that is so bad, that its almost good. Like an episode of mystery science theater, where what your watching is so ridiculous, that you dont need people making fun of it along the way to produce some gut wrenching comedy.
I imagine the conception team for this movie was nothing but a bunch of fight coreographers from Underworld, Matrix, and Resident Evil, all getting together to put the one fight seen they wanted to put from their respective past movies into one solid (piece of..) movie.
Guy #1 "ok, so I had this one fight that I wanted to put into the movie, where its the hot ninja chick, but verses like a LOT of people. I mean, a LOT. It would be so dope!"
Guy #2 "yeah, yeah! awesome man, then after that, how cool would it be if there was a motorcycle chase, just like the matrix, except even more extreme. Now stay with me here: she rides on the SIDE of a skyscraper! Not the road, fuck that, the side of a building!"
Janitor, who happens to be cleaning the room: "thats the most retarded thing Ive ever heard."
Guy #2 "alright, well..... she can do it because..... um..... yeah, shes got an anti-gravity.... um.... thing."
Guy #1 "Slayer!"
Guy #3 "Fuckin A man, then after that, she can be outnumbered by a shitload of vampires, on top of something really tall, like a skyscraper, with a huge entryway platform on it, but not at the entry, like really high up on it or something, i dunno. But vampires, lots of em, and fighting!"
Guy #1 "yeah, and then she could fight a lot of ........
hours later....
Guy #2 "then at the end, shes gotta fight this dude with a katana. But fuck real katanas, this ones serated! and on fire!"
Guy #1 "yes! best fucking movie ever dude."

At least Date Movie had reviews for it... and they weren't nearly as bad as this... Date movie averaged a B on Yahoo movies... but you knew what that was going to be going into it...
This movie, alla Aeon Flux, didn't have ANY critics reviews for it on opening day. Meaning they probably never let any critics see it because they knew the ratings would kill their chance at making at least a smidgen of money. Just got to the Yahoo Movie reviews and see the hundreds of unhappy movie goers. Bad stuff.

THIS MOVIE SUCKED SO BAD! How the hell did Vampires come into play!? I mean I was trying to make sense of the movie the whole time (and usually I don't have a problem understanding even the most complicated movies). They cramed way too much crap into one movie, resulting in me not getting into the movie. I'd complain on a whole bunch of other things but I don't want to ruin the torture this movie will inflict on unsespecting viewers.

seems like all hollywood produce latly is such a waste of money that my wallet cries. they spend so fucking much money on escaping reality even if its for these ultraviolet shitty 130 minutes.
i mean they could had opened a new art center for that money or whatever. its just unbeleiveble to understand how this system works. they could for example take the ammount of money it cost to build up lets say harlem "not that its not a great place to live and i have never been there"to make a movie about harlem and in the movie they build it nicer looking but after the movie they take the buildings away.
and i hope for the sake of human kind that this femenist nazi crap ends. the thoughf chicks gotto go. ok for film and entertainment its perhaps cute to see a chick fight stuff, but in reality if i did a spinkick on Milla Jovovich she whould break every bone in her body and just be on the floor shaking and bleeding. i lost my respect in women when the toughf fighing chicks on the movies came . i mean seriously.
this movie is just alot of money that dissapeared for no reason whatsoever. but they probly make a sequal.
hope to see more new movies besides shitty remakes, films about the devil or god, fighting women or tv series actors in movies.
where is the star qualites of al pacino and robert deniro.? these new guys just looks and acts like empty shells and some kind of clones of a much better original.
i liked equlibrium but i thought the gun katas was a bit cheesy. pretty original but with a hint of matrix that all the action movies has after that.
wasnt it a simular movie made with donald sutherland from way back then, with aliens that took over your body and if you was feeling they came and got you and killed you or something.

Havent seen Bad Boys 2, was the first one good enough to warrant a sequel though? What really bothers me is how hollywood thinks it can just put certain actors together and guarantee a profit. They figure put Will Smith and Martin L. together and your guaranteed to make money. And if it works once, damn if they don't HAVE to do it agan.
Bruce campbell has made B movies fashionable. I don't think I could take him in anything A-list. Did any of you guys like Brisco County? I thought it was really good for a tv series.
