I just picked up the new Illustration Magazine.
The whole issue is on Bernie Fuchs. It's amazing to see so much of his work in one place. Anyone
want composition lessons, pick it up!

THANKS for the heads up Irene. I had the biggest "art crush" on Bernie Fuchs during my sophmore year at SVA. I still love his work...and you nailed it : The man made amazing compositions. He could direct the viewer to look at a tiny square inch in the corner of the canvas...brilliant. Gotta pick this up!

I'm one of those "starving art students who is very careful with his money" types (Read: Stingy),

This magazine worth subscribing to? Lot to be learned or is it eye candy?

I dunno man, I learn a lot simply from looking (and stealing) ideas and how different artists approach their artwork. :teeth:

It's good for historical stuff. But, if you're starving, I'd go for Ramen noodles over reading material. Check and see if your school will carry it.

Hahaha, good ole Ramen Noodles; the art students friend :). Need to put an egg in them everynow and then for some protein and variety though.

Yeah, I'm going to make a trip to the city library soon, they should have this. Seems really nice.

Edit: Not to make this into another "What Magazines are Good" thread but you have any recommendations Irene?
