Oh yes, you added the broken branches!

You composed the pictures as if it was supposed to be a book cover with a front, a spine and a back, very pro :D

the rider went really well, and the main monster has a lot of details, I just miss a bit more work on the ground, grass and threes (all the boring parts!) then it would be really cool.

Overall the pice has a lot of movment, and has the feeling of something breathing down your neck, GooD job!

That's totally sweet ty. The horse, rider, and creatures are really well done.

I agree with R_M about the background. For instance, I like the idea of the baddie busting down trees. I can see all the wood bits flying through the air, but not where he's breaking them off from. All of the branches look intact.

I also really like the composition. Sweet stuff man!

Tyboogie, the improvements you've made over your works in progress are great. The sense of danger missing from some of your other revisions is back.

I think the mud splashing around the horses feet just needs to be darker to stand out. It's hard to see as is.

Also, I think cropping it shorter into a 'wider' screen frame would add to the tension. There's still a lot of open space, though I see you did try to break it up with the suggestion of more monsters in the background.

hey tyler,

that's an awesome illustration. i love the approach you used for the finish. the only crit i can give is to add a bit of variation to the foggy areas. maybe some blue mist in the fog and/or on the monsters underbelly to diversify the gray consistency. good work.

yes new york guys, let's form a group and call ourselves, the superfriends! i can be called supernova!, because i love studying the stars!

anyhoot, i agree with the others, ever tried putting alittle bit of noise on the trees? it creates a nice effect. breaks up the sharpness too.

Great ending on a great start. Seeing this piece through all of its processes has given me a nice lesson in drive to finish an artwork. I love the whole "samuraiish" idea and such.

I do feel the mud could be even more prominent, but yes a very nicely completed piece. It is just so good at evoking a story into me. "A picture is worth a thousand words" This is "A picture is worth a thousand frightened words" :P

Great job tyboogie, your art and process is really facsinating and inspiring.;)

Ty-

Great piece.

I wonder if the flying Manta-rays could have some sort of tails. Also their "wings" seem very bulky and stiff, but now that I think about it, it sort of makes them creepier. I can almost see these things as some sort of stop-motion, Ray Harryhausen creatures...... ooo creepy.

New Yorkers in da hizzouse (sp?).
