Kool concept, I like the fur cape.
The blade on the head of the 3D model does not flow as smooth into the helmet as it does on the 2d concept. meaning it feels a bit stuck on.
But that is a small thing . It's a very good model.

I see what you mean. It does look more of a right angle as apposed to the more gradual slope of the design.
One day when I get some time I would like to texture it.
Thanks again for your crits.

...That would make an excellent set of Morrowind Armour and weaponry - superb. It must be a good feeling to turn a concept into a digital model

I completely agree, it looks a little like a cross between dunmer and imperial armour.
I think the reason that the helmet blade doesnt quite go is that on the original 2D drawing, the line of the blade flows into the far edge of the helmet, which doesnt happen in the model.
Very nice idea though, a bit like the ridges roman soldiers had on their helmets, just a bit more vicious!
I'm a big fan of cloaks and weird shaped swords, so this is a fantastic piece of art for me!

Never played morrowind, but thanks.
It is cool to see a design actualized. Designing a piece to be modeled really forces you to work out your shaps. You can't fake stuff as much in a model like you can in a 2d drawing.
THanks for the input. And I'll have to check out morrowind. :)

Pretty cool. Do you do texture maps?

What did you use to model it? Softimage XSI or Zbrush? Or maybe you used a different renderer in Maya or Max? Greatwork and I will be awaiting the texture!

how many polys is it?
is that mapped or just poly?
What are you using it for?

Why start a section if you never come back to it. I am seeing this with most of the 3d people. I think I have just decided to not crit 3d anymore.
