[ ...but there are no horses, and the latest advances in 4-wheeled technology are not being showcased here. ]

[ One can only hope... ]

[ Is some guys on top of giant beetles racing against each other. ]

machzero - A collection! I dig the slice-of-life angle on the second pic, and the beetle in the third is very cute. :)

Aga - Nice one! Interesting colour pallette, and good sense of speed.

Hamsta - Ahh, the only flying race today! A bit too simple for my tastes, but nice legs. ;)

JörgenGiftmördaren - Hm.. Not sure what's going on here exactly... Seems like the beetle things are leaving the race track? I like the odd approach that this beetle race takes place in the snowy mountaintops.

I didn't actually get to put in the sort of detail that I wanted because all the other aspects of the pic demanded my time. Probably about 3 hours here... Used some reference of a horse race.

Bill Thx, I know what you mean about the legs :)
Nice start, the bugs look ace, you really worked out those legs yourself. I reckon you realize just how half assed the jockeys look, especially that guy with a hole in his head :p And they don't seem to sit very well, ready to fly off at any second.
