I've been looking for a good tutorial for how to color dragons (esp digital), but i miserably failed in finding any at all..
Does anyone know a good tut for dragon coloring??

Also where can i get some help/referance for dragon muscles? I can draw the body alright, but when it comes to the muscles that attach the wing to the shoulders, it's a nightmare..

Hey thanks for the interest!
but unfortunately they dont really have scales at all. They kind of have basic coloring, which I am capable of. I was looking for something that shows both muscle texture and scales, something more professional I might say.

But thanks anyways :)

so how is colouring dragons any different than anything else? it's all just made up, just go for it.

I tried it before and failed miserably... There is more texture than painting skin or fabric. Its more rough a surface, I dunno.
I mean coloring this (http://www.toddlockwood.com/resources/images/galleries/dnd/01/dragonlance_det01.jpg) is so much different than coloring a human or landscape.. I know getting to the stage of Todd Lockwood is about practice too, but its still different. Is it not?

Then just do master copies of some of lockwood's dragonlance paintings? It would take a tremendous amount of time, but studying him (if that;s the results you ultimately want to achieve) will help you more than you realize. It's all about dedication and hard work.
Second, go do a google image search on komodo dragons, lizards, anything that has scales really, and do quick paint studies of them. Draw them too. On the komodo dragons, draw them a lot, find out what the skeleton is like, then find out what the muscles groups are (either by finding anatomical charts of komodo dragons, or by looking at anatomical charts of quadrupeds, and birds. Or maybe even dinosaurs?)

Anyway, good luck on it. It takes time and dedication to make up believable creatures..

I just purcahsed a book called "Drawing & Painting Fantasy Beasts", by Kevin Walker. It has a step by step process on how to paint a dragon in photoshop.

Costs $31.99 Canadian.
