Canon Digital Rebel XT or i believe its also known as the Canon 300d.
I was thinking of purchases this camera, from what mainy people have told me so far, this is a really good camera. I was wondering if anyone on this forum has this camera, and if they could tell me how they like it, and i would also appreciate if you posted some sample pics of the pictures it takes, so i can see the quality of it etc.. That would be great.
I am looking into buyin a professional camera within a couple months, spending atleast 1200 dollars. And so far people have recommended this one. Please if anyone has this, post pics and information.
Thank you.
Justin.

i got the 350d, it's a greate camera.
Il Cielo also have the 350
it's only one thing that is negative aboute the 350d
it is not full frame, for a camera that is fullframe (5D)
you will have to pay around 3000$

I have the camera a step up from the Rebel XT (350 D)
I have the 20D. There are few differences between these cameras. The 20D has a metal instead of a plastic body and is larger. It also has some more of the expert custom settings than the XT does, but they are both 8.2 megapixels and both great cameras. Here are some shots i took with my 20D:

the 20D is better, but you should actually be quite experienced
to need more than the 350D ;)

Hey, guys thanks alot, if there is anymore people, please post.
Thanks.
Barret you have the 350d? Are the photos in your gallery taken with the 350d? Is the 350d pretty close to the 300d in quality? Im lookin at doing alot of landscape photography, portraiture, and probably macros, basically everything if i can. With high quality, and if you shot those landscapes with the 350d, im assuming the 300d will come close. Nice work by the way.
ShadeofDawn, those are quite nice.

Thanks for those links, that first one was very helpful in deciding how this camera is. It looks quite nice.
I was actually wrong the camera i was looking at was the 350 D and it seems much better then the 300 D anyhow. I guess it really depends on what lenses you have, the subject matter you choose and how goo the photographer is to get good pieces.
To me from the photos i viewed it looks like this camera is nice for a wide variety of work. The best i saw was macros, portraits, and landscapes :) Even close ups! haha, but again that depends on lenses and experience. I only saw 2 pictures of night scenes/sunsets with this camera and they definetely looked promising.
Has any one done night scenes with this, would you say it is good?
Thanks guys, you are all really helpful!
Justin.

Thanks Il Cielo, i think i would prefer the 350 D anyhow. Im willing to pay the price, It wont be for another 2 months or so until i get it, so from what i heard it might be discounted a bit by then - the 350D.
