Im trying a bit of oil painting and im looking at inseed oil. In my local DIY/Hardware store there is a 750ml bottal of linseed oil for like £3. At the art store theres a 75ml bottle for the same price.

Iv a read around, and , correct me if im wrong, the latter is cold-pressed, and the former is boiled. My question is, will i notice a big diffrence if i went with the boiled linseed oil?

::Edit::
Ok iv read a bit further and found that boiled linseed oil is full of solvants and dosent dry so good. But there is Raw linseed oil too?

Yes. The hardware store boiled oil will dry much quicker, but it will also yellow and possibly wrinkle.

Here's a good description of differences between raw and cold-pressed linseed oil:

I've seen both of these often sold as food additives too, but would advise caution of course with what you swallow ;).
