I have recently PMed all SSG#9 members with a T-Dome Challenge. 6 has responded. Styler, Embee, Dreckster, Aeoxo, Qxzi and myself will be going at a six-way T-Dome. This is not for any of us to "prove" anything. It is to motivate us by competition.

The deadline is a week from today. Sunday, January the 22nd.
Media: Anything except photography.

The Judges are:
Steak-tron!
Oregano!
Dan Milligan!
and Mentler!
Yes, with these well-respected judges, SSG #9 better not slack off!

The topics:
You have two choices. Do one of the following:

1. The Weaver Of ______ (Can be in any form)
2. The instrumental musician without arms (must be humanoid)

How thee will be judged:
Each entry will be judged on three categories, with each being worth 10 points:
1. Concept
2. Composition
3. Technique

Each judge can allow up to a total of 30 points. Since there are 4 judges, the maximum amount of points one can get is 120. The person with the highest number of points win the T-Dome. From these points, we can easily develop a ladder system after this T-Dome. Everyone in SSG #9 has gotten a pm about that idea so you guys know what I am trying to do.

Display of WIP before the deadline is encouraged!
Drop outs will make this so not fun so please don't do that.

Good luck guys.

I am in the middle of a divorce, and my site is down and i am broke...so I am working on my client projects, and holding down my fulltime job... But if i can participate in this, I won't drop out.

well im very busy atm, i have an interview for a school on monday wich involves travelling and ofcourse more stuff.
a extendet deadline would be great for me but i wont be able to work on my piece the next two days anyways. So it's not realy my choice i will try to get my piece as far as possible, even if it includes that i have to finish it after the deadline.

ok here is what i came up with like i mentioned already my appologys, i realy would have liked to spend some more time on it, after all whe have great judges who deserve 100%.

I did choose Weaver of Souls or Weaver of Destiny.

It is an punished beeing, cursed to swollow the the eternal flow of souls. Bringing salvation to em and bindin their fates together until the may return. over and over again.

Hey! My entry is kinda rushed, and i want to apologize for that, but i really had difficulties with pushing me to draw it, the last days. I didn't use ref (maybe i should have done so...) and here it is:

Brian "the weaver" Meier (so called by his fellow-students)

In the late 16th century, one of Brians ancestors fought against some indians, when their shaman tried to put a spell on him and transform him into a little insect. Unfortunately the shaman was high on some kind of turtle-brain-juice na didn't get the spell right, so the cowboy mutated and two glands grew in his lower back. Years of training gave him control over these. Many people in Brian's family managed to get huge skills with the extraordinary bodyparts, but some just can't control them. Brian is one of these :rendered:

I'm sorry for the poor quality of my entry, but I hope that i made some of you laugh...

Hey guys,

Styler, nice sketch but I think we have the same problem and that is, I don't see the musician in him..

Hey Dreckster, too bad you couldn't finish it. It would have been nice. But a good start.

Embee, umm your entry isn't loading for me for some reason.. I will try again later.

Here's mine:

The tube looking things are organ pipes.. I couldn't draw them properly.. >< Also the values are really bad... I can't control my values very well yet... The machine also looks confusing.... gah... didn't take the proper time to plan it... ><><

Heres mine -

In the era of the Mars war, Eric here used to play his intruments to the British before they went into the battlefield, or before they went "over the top". One day, he got shot by one of attackers. He had to go back to the earth and get an operation. The operation went terrible, it went all wrong. They had to do something, the only way to keep him alive was to turn him into a robot, but they keep his brain, his head and skin. After the operation, he was way to ashamed to play his intruments any more, he also didnt want to play his because it brought back to many bad memories. So, he has to sell his stuff somehow. But hes not selling many at all, some of his wires are showing, which looks creppy.
