Hello everyone! This is an image of a sundog, a rogue trader and adventurer in interstitial space.
Enjoy :-)

no offense but it looks like she is an amputee
her lower legs need to be extended much longer. cool drawing though, pants look like they were based off something from hyung's work.

yeah in proportion the legs should be much longer!

Aaahhh, I see the source of confusion and it's entirely my fault. The figure is bent at the knees rather than straight-legged, which is obscured by the sweepers - and the fabric treatment itself leads the eye into thinking the knees are lower than than they are and the shins considerably shorter than they should be. This is definitely a lesson learned when it comes to composing a figure in ravee pants, but I assure you that the proportions are correct in a classical sense - check the distance from head to pelvis (not to be confused with the crotch of the pants) and pelvis to 'foot' - just apparently poorly framed :-(

This picture would be fucking sick if she had legs! You got great clean style. To fix this pic, just say she is wearing capri panst and throw some ankles and feet out the bottom of those pants. Im a genius, thank me later.

thats pretty wicked Glenn.. i really like the pattern on her torso and i like the way you handled the pants. i understand your logic with the legs,, but yah,, sometimes you have to spell things out for them read effectively. especially if its concept art. overall its a very dinamic design/image.
here are my crits if your interested.. the nose bridge is a bit overstated in my opinion.. it contradicts the subtleness and curvyness of the rest of the image. her right arm is also a bit too short,, it would make better sense if the elbow appeared to be coming toward us but it doesnt read that way. check the distance from her shoulder socket to the tip of her elbow.

The rendering and design details are all excellently executed. The look definitely smacks of Hyung Tae Kim, but that's a good thing to aspire to.
One critique I have is that the blue secondary lighting is not very convincing. For the light to cast such strong blue highlights, the light would bleed over more to the other surfaces. Some of the shadows, particuarly in the pants, could use some darkening.
Excellent work, though.

Wassup kids! Fellipe, Lono, Dustin!
Thanks for the crits everyone. Lono, I totally agree. My primary weakness is painting and though I'm working on it, I think I'm still a little too timid to effectively tackle some of my intentions. Like that arm, I wanted it to appear like it was moving more into z space as opposed to sideways, but just couldn't get the shading right. And the nose, ugh. . . I totally overworked the shadows but couldn't get the highlights right. . .
Good call, Blackhand. Sophisticated lighting concepts like bounce and rim are pretty new to me, so a lot of my experiments tend to come out as forced or styled rather than natural. . .
Thanks :-)

Glenn, great job man!
There isn't a lot to add to what has been said already, only one thing: coracobrachialis baby! You definitely need to throw it in there.
