I'm almost finsihed building myself a new PC, and i had a few questions about preferences and a program or two.
Which of you use an Optical mouse Vs. a Laser mouse? I'm haveing trouble decideing on a new mouse. Some of the laser mice are really nice, as in they feel great but there really expensive...as the few i'm looking at range in price from $60-$80...and after spending $700 or so on my computer parts i really dont want that.
I was hopeing for a wireless laser, but if someone can give me their opnions on optical vs. laser...that would be really nice. Pro's, Cons you know the jist.
Also a long time ago, i read a thread in here...somewhere about a program called Sketch (or something to that effect) it had a link to a free demo of the program...but after trying to download it, i learned it was for XP only. (i was useing 98 SE) soo now that i have XP i was wondering if someone could give me the link...or at least give me the right name so i can do a search for it.
Thanks for your help guys!!!
:)

The only big difference between those two is that the laser is much much more precise. The Mx1000 from logitech is good but way to heavy, so i can only suggest you to get the G7, still from logitech.
And if you dont want a laser, well the mx 510 and its alternatives are pretty good, precise enough for any kindof program and its much less heavy than the mx1000.
So its up to you :)

DONT get cordless, you have to change the goddamn batteries aaall the time. i'm using a 10 year old ball mouse rather than my bloody optical wireless, it wass too much of a pain to keep buying batteries for the benifits. just go for whatever suits you, usually computer stored have mouses that you can try out.

:O
First time i see that. the latest logitech have a rechargable battery, which means that when your done using your mouse, you just put it on the charging station. You dont have to buy new batteries or anything:
" Features: Cordless • Laser Technology • PC • Rechargeable • Right-Handed Comfort Grip • Scroll wheel • Tilt Wheel Plus Zoom™ • USB"
Dunno what kindof of mouse you got Waronmars, but its a weird one :/

in my experience, you dont have to go all out for a decent optical mouse. I think i spent 15 bucks on mine, from some unheard of company (sunbeamtech.com) and it works beautifully. Its a usb optical, and you can switch between 650 and 1300 dpi. Its as precise as mice get. Only possible drawback is its got a cord, but from what ive seen, unless you go all out theres a degree of lag for the wireless mice. as a gamer, i cant deal with that. cords all the way.
