i would like to learn composition and painting...has someone got a tut or other help for me???

ok theres not several good books on composition, I don't think that the word composition sells books though I personally think its the most important part of any artistic disopline. Check amazon, there are a few good books on compsition. I will look throughmy books tonight and send you a brief list tommorow.

Wow...Old Thread, but figured I could help. If you could get you hands on some Andrew Loomis Books, he goes into composition and explains it in detail. You can download them online, theres probably a link somewhere here. Just use the search option at the top of this page and look for Loomis books. Creative Illustration I believe is the one you want. There are some books on painting I've found at the bookstore that briefly go into composition, but not much. Just browse the forums here, look at people work and read the crits from the guys that know what they're talking about. You'll be surprised how much you can learn in a short amount of time.
