The other day for the first time I picked up a pencil and made a serious attempt to start sketching. Well I ended up drawing from 9pm-11am:zzz: . Now I've become addicted to it hehe. I am a complete beginner though, and do not know much about anything..(Only thing that might help is that I just finished studying 2 years of Anatomy in HS..) I really want to get serious about concept art though, so I've a few quick questions:

A - Any specific type of pencils I am supposed to use for sketching? Any other supplies I should get?(All I'm using right now is white printer paper and a mechanical pencil hehe:teeth: )

B - I don't like Anderew Loomis's guide..every male figure is a freaking body builder>:| .I'd like some more average/natural figures heh. Anyone recomend another site for Anatomy structures I could view? (More Skelital figures perhaps, helps for me to see what actualy under the skin, and the muscle. So that I better understand the mechanics of the human body.)

C - What type of software/program should I get for edit/enhancing pictures? (Adobe..That's all I know about heh)

Thanks in advance for any advice you can throw at me.

A - Printer paper and a mechanical pencil is fine. Doesn't really matter, as long as you're comfortable using it.

B - Loomis' Figure Drawing for all it's Worth has detailed drawings of the skeletal structure and most of the muscles of the body. Other than that you could check out the books by Bridgman and a book called Atlas of Human Anatomy for the Artist by Stephen Rogers Peck which is great. I don't know of any anatomy websites.

C - Photoshop or Painter is what most people here use. I do mostly traditional work so I don't know much about it, but for just scanning and tweaking images for display I suggest Photoshop.

My advice: Post a drawing.
