I have Painter 8.1 and have many images saved in .rif form. I find it very annoying that there is no thumbnail image in Windows of these files. I have to open each one to see exactly which one it is. Is there any 'fix' for this? PSD's show up thumbnailed just fine... why not .rif's???

No fix for both Mac and Windows but I think Corel may be working on something to make RIFF files viewable outside of Painter.

I think there may be a utility solution for Painter IX Mac (not sure about the OS version) that you can ask about on the Corel Painter newsgroup.

The only way we can view thumbnails in Painter's File > Open dialog box is to have first saved the RIFF file to the folder in which we're looking. Then, when the file is highlighted, a thumbnail appears in the upper right corner of the Open dialog box.
