Hi there. Long time lurker, first time poster, so on and so forth, blah blah. I'm a Junior in high school and am considering persuing a career in animation someday. I've decided it's time for me to get off my butt and start getting a bit more serious.

I'm making an attempt at drawing 2-4 pages daily (in an effort to fill a 100 page sketchbook every month). Drawings range anywhere from referenced drawings out of magazines to dirty laundry on my bedroom floor to random people in my classes.

Yeah. Anyway. Let's see how long I can keep this up. I'm fairly confident that I can meet my drawing goals, but I probably won't be motivated enough to deal with my scanner every day.

January 1st (only used H pencil, so images have had contrast/brightness tampered with for easier viewing)

Good line control on the last set of pictures. Remember to fill in the face with shading to give it volume and the 3d effect.

Congrats for starting a sb bro. Things are aren't looking too shabby. It appears you already understand the importance of life drawings. Experiment with volume and darker tones a bit more. Other than that, good start. Later man.

Been a bit too busy working to draw as much as I'd like. I get home and I'm so exhausted I can hardly move. :(

Also, my notes on the digestive system. Needless to say, I didn't learn much.

Classes and work have kept me way too busy to scan/photograph anything I've been doing, but I've finally managed to find some free time to update this.

Skeleton studies from the past few days:

A few pieces from a class I took at the community college:
(Don't mind the blue tape, I had to tape them to the wall to photograph them so my shadow wasn't in the picture).
