I need a little help from anyone that has a good monitor suggestion to reduce eye strain.

----

My tools monitor burned out, now I need to upgrade. It was crappy but it was a rock solid image that did not hurt my eyes.

I do 60-80 hours a week on my monitor. Avoiding eye strain is very key for me.

I get eye strain under pretty easy circumstances.

-Low refresh rate
-Any blur
-Any flicker
-Any view angle distortion

I have used CRT's because the images seem more solid. What do you guys use, and love?

I was thinking about apple cinema displays. I've heard about some 'pink' problem. Did they fix that?

The 30" could be a consideration but I find the price a pinch on my year end budget. Would a Dell be okay?

Man, I don't want to get 2500 in a hole and have problems down the road...

Thanks for any insight.

I hear Dell's alright. I'd go for Eizo tho, they make high-quality monitors for professional work. Some don't have very high refresh rates, but the colors and picture quality.. wow. Check out tom's hardware guide, I read an article about apple, eizo and viewsonic just a couple of days ago.
Also have you ever thought about dual setup?

Thanks for the reply Angry. I just ran out and got the 23 HD apple cinema display. After reading a bit, Its the only thing that seems rock solid in my budget range. Now I work with the 23 as my main monitor, and my 21 crt as my tools monitor. It seems to work well sofar. Heh, but its only been 45 minutes..
