this is a watercolor for a childrens book illustration assignment. the blue green box in the corner is where the text will go, i didnt have time to get an acetate overlay with the text...and i forgot to put it on with photoshop, bad me. but anyway its 10 x 16 if anyone is interested. this is actually a new style im thinking about going into , not sure yet. let me know, thanks!

I thought there would be a sinister side to this illustration. I like the style. There's something about taking cartoons and adding a dark element to them that I like, kind of like in the Brothers Grimm style art over at the latest eatpoo contest.

Ahahahahahaha! Escellent! It makes me laugh gleefully. I like that style. Please explore further and share with us.

I like the style of this piece daarken. Maybe you can work on how you incorpate and design the type within the page instead of it just being stuck into a box. I look forward to seeing more of these pieces.

negative: yeah, i should have probably spent more time trying to design the type, but i am not as good at type. something i will keep in mind for my next illustration though, thanks.

thanks everyone else! hmm,i have not seen the newest contest at eatpoo, i will have to go check it out.
