View Full Version : Porcelain Roman Bust - 1/1/06

Yesterday, I spent about 8 hours sculpting this Roman influenced bust. I used some photos of various Rennaissance art for reference.

The base is particle board and it's about 6 inches square.

When dry, I will sand off the little clay bits & clear coat the whole thing to protect it, as it's too thick a sculpture to fire.

All and all its a good start goo!

the main thing that jumps about for me is the mouth seems a little close to the chin. But everyones face is built differently.

I think the nose is just a TAD too low, even for Roman... But still nice work :D
