To Concept and Development Artists,
Wacky World Studios located in Tampa, FL is now hiring full time positions for conceptual artists. Only serious talent reviewed. Must have excellent draftsmanship skills, a developed understanding of the human form, animal form(s), proportions, scale, spacial relationships. Character Design a plus. Background development a bigger plus. Along with this area would be an understanding of light and color. Must be able to work in multiple styles. This is for serious designers who are opened to re-locating to Florida. Photoshop and or painter (painting/rendering) skills a must. No Monsters or anime (although an ability in these areas is great) this isn't what we do, so please do not send examples of these areas. Also Character Designers send Background samples not just Characters. Please do not call due to the volume of presentations we recieve on a daily basis. Traditional animation design skills would help get your foot in the door. Our style is based on detailed animated characters (from Wacky loony toonish to Disney-esque) and background design.
The following position is now being reviewed (2 openings).
Background Designers/Environmental Designers/Production Designers: From Concept through to finished background painting. Thumbnails through finished Illustrations. Architectual knowledge a big plus. Themed Environments, Backgrounds for animation, inspirational environment design. Understanding scale, decor, and materials a plus. From Cartoon themed environments (theme parks) to hyper realistic movie/production set design. Ability to read blueprints a plus. Must be fast. Excellent Draftsmanship Skills.
We are a total turn key operation that specializes in themed design and environments, animatronics, 3D animation, architectual design, game design, and last but not least toy design.
