I recently watched a video explaining the basics of perspective. They stressed the importance of the station point in 2 point perspective, but didn't tell how to find it. Any help?

station point simply means where the viewer(you) are standing in relation to the object.. test it..stand in front of a box of shoes point one arm to where one of the corners go you will find one vanishing point where about touches your eye level (eye level i just a straight plane from your eyes..is not necessarily the horizon..un less you are looking straight level)..point the other arm where the other corner goes. from those two points bring them to you (as if they were lines) and they will form a triangle..(which leonardo calls the pyramid of vision) that point of the triangle is you, or the station point or where the viewer who sees your piece will be able to see all that you drawn in correct perspective (or at least good convincing relationships of all what you drawn correct).. we are just simplyfing the millions of rays of light that come from objects..or from what we see..
