hehe! cool character design!
I like the texture in the first painting, I say keep it.
Even if you are putting in clouds, it give a nice contrast to his smoothness.
And maybe instead of the green outfit, make him red or orange. just a suggestion, :)
can't wait to see what he's going to be doing, :)

On the other hand, the idea that i has in mind when i started to paint background and Empire State Top was this: Captain Kong with a Barbie in the hand, attacked by dangerous paper airplanes. :dur:

his right hand isnt sitting well with me.. i think itd work better if he had his knuckles splayed, his weight resting on it like gorillas normally do. oh, and this is most definately a top quality render. have you any hi-rez detail shots?

My eye is really drawn to the cityscape in the lower right hand corner, beautiful work there. I know you're not done, but you are going to make him stand out a little more, right? Especially his face!

Wonderful rendering! I really like this. I was thinking about the play on captain america/whoever and thought it would be funny if there was a "K" on his forehead instead of a circle. Possibly a K made of three small bananas? IMO, the tail takes away from his size and also just seems like it doesn't belong. Great work so far!
