My 12th stuffed Platypus, and my biggest!!! His name is Albert.

A certain Swiss boy stocked me with 6 pounds of Swiss chocolate, a very special advent calendar and an original Popke sketch ;)

I also got a good amount of cards from the people I sent mine out to. Hand written cards always make me smile!

In general, my family doesn't make a huge deal about Christmas (I have to cook the entire dinner for my family or else no one would lift a finger to keep the tradition alive, cripes, we didn't even have a tree this year)...

...but I think I scored a Gameboy DS as a last minute present. I'll know when I wake up tomorrow!

my girlfriend's flight got delayed and then transferred to Ohio, and now she's on a bus to the airport, estimated arrival at Indianapolis International in 3 hours.

i've been up all day and night checking flights and confirming connections, and a drive that usually takes 15 minutes to the airport took an hour and a half due to traffic (on christmas eve wtf) and fog so bad i couldn't see past my headlights.

but now i just got a call from her, and she's on her way. hope she can get some sleep, cuz i won't.

not only that but the girl who let her use her cell phone to call me ( who passenger on the same plane) will be getting a christmas present as well- we'll be driving her to her home, saving her cab fare.

so yeah. this christmas isn't quite a material gift-unwrapping festival just yet, i'll post that later on today. right now, i'm gonna get some coffee, and make hope this pea-soup fog lifts.

ANYWAY - I felt kinda bad this year because I got some really good stuff, namely stuff which I asked for (which historically doesn't happen) BUT I didn't have a lot of money to spend this year, but like, I didn't have an opportunity to get people the stuff that they asked for. Fortunately, I have a big family, so I'm sure my mediocre gifts didn't ruin anyone's christmas.

Yesterday, for my immediate family pre-chrismas extravaganza:

- From my brother and his wife, a bitchin digital camera that's SLIGHTLY larger than a zippo lighter. It takes pictures that are about the quality of a webcam, but it's TINY. It's hella, hella cool.

- From my mom, I got some monies. Actually, a prepaid VISA card. Also hella cool.

- From my other brother and his wife, I got a Dual Layer DVD R/RW. I was totally not expecting that. Now I'm about to take my internet movie piracy to the next level.

TODAY, I spent most of the day at my brother and sister in law's parent's house. They're family friends from way back in the day. My nephew was running around all hopped-up on M & M's, and we just hung out the whole day till like midnight. We did this insane present raffle thing that was completely nuts. Kinda like white elephant, or yankee swap, or whatever you want to call it. It was pretty fun, and I ended up with this weird little wooden box that I'm gonna keep my crack stash in.

On Tuesday, I'll be going to my brother's house, where all my aunts, uncles, and cousins will be. It's going to be completely damn nuts. Fortunately, we draw names, and get a present for one person, so I've got one more present coming from my aunt. No idea what it's gonna be. Sure the day will be fun either way though.

ANYWAY, that's my christmas.
