demon concept (added progress shots) + new bug creature

i haven't posted many stuff on this section. my paintings rarely go beyond the rough stage. for this one i believe i pushed myself a bit further. all criticism is welcome. if you provide me "why's" (even to the positive comments if u got any), than i'll give you a hug and a kiss :P [well, here's some self criticism; background is a bit too rough maybe, i got impatient; and the pose is soo boring]

the demon looks really cool I love the design.
personally for me I would have more light around his feet so that you can see the awsome design.

Nice, good work on holding it together from start to finish. It needs better edge work. Sharpen up the edges around the subject for sure. Then color needs work, too much warm and warm. One side (either light or shadow) has got to take cool. Good work.

Isn't green cool? Just wondering. The creature seems to have green in it, and you said too much warm... ::scratches head::

i like the pencil work a lot but the painted image seems to glossy and flat.imo. the light source seems off and inconsistent. good design nonetheless. keep it up :D

first of all guys, thanx for taking your time to reply:) and for all the crits and kind words:)

i have added the progress of the demon and added a new creature, at the top.

i will play around with the colors a bit more. but i'm a bit hesitant, i fear i may ruin it, hehe.(see the progress) anyways, it's digital, i got the original one, no problem :teeth: i'm pretty noob in painting really and edge work is really a weak point of mine. anyways, if manage to come up with something better, i'll post ;)
